I have connected this to an iPOD nano. This cable is the only recommended cable for iPOD connectivity to the AVR. Upon connecting the iPOD and selecting the iPOD option on the AVR, the iPOD can then be controlled via the Denon/remote control. The controls are logical and simple from the Denon unit. Only audio functionality is available. The sound output from the iPOD via my Denon unit is excellent given the AAC compression of the tracks from Apple/iTunes. The cable does not support video functionality. The iPOD can also be charged via the Denon Unit. Overall, the product works well.
