Denon DN-V755 Network Audio/Video Player Internal 40GB HDD Features
Denon DN-V755 Network Audio/Video Player Internal 40GB HDD Overviews The Denon Professional DN-V755 Network Audio Visual Player is honest-to-goodness bona-fide revolutionary. Older systems required specialized software for configuration and control. That meant all your media had to be in the right place at the right time, in the right format, and your staff programmer had to be there with it every time you wanted to update your message. If any of those elements were out of place-thanks, and we'll try again on Monday. With the DN-V755, connect it to a LAN and you're off to the races. There's no software to install or schedule the DN-755 and it can be accessed with any web browser, such as Microsoft Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox. When you connect, it behaves like a website, and adding media is as easy as dragging-and-dropping. Think about that-you can control your message from anywhere in the world. |

Like many people, I have a pretty large collection of DVDs and an HDTV. I also don't want to pay a lot of money for Blu-Ray movies. The nice thing about this player is that it upscales DVDs to 1080i, so the picture is better than out of a standard DVD player hooked up via component video cables -- you have to use the DVI output to upscale the video, though! Tons of setup options, good sound, good video, no problems. Customer Review 2 : Great until 6months after i bought it. - Joseph W. Henderson - Lexington, KY United States Features are EXCELLENT!.. However customer service DOES NOT EXIST!!.. The display went out on my 6 months after i bought.. sent it off to denon.. Took 6 months to get it back.. I called multiple times and could not get an answer.. Went onto the website and filled out the "customer service card" and still no service.. I finally got a body and they said "your unit is in service we will ship it out in a month".. WTF.. It came the next day.. Interesting.. Bottom Line.. Customer Service for Denon does not exist. If you have any problems your SOL.. I sole mine on ebay.. DONT BUY IT!.. I paid 0.. And felt betrayed.. No more denon for me.. If you want a DVD Player get a apex () bucks from walmart.. It'll play everything including burned CD/DVD.. This unit will not.. |

Customer Review Best Customer Review : I've owned my Denon DN-D6000 dual deck CD/MP3 player for about 6 months now, and I can do nothing but rave about it. The build is top-quality and of only the sturdiest materials. The technology in these decks will not be surpassed for years to come. They feature digital coaxial connections to your mixer for richer, more robust sound as well as a special cable (not the typical round MIDI-like cable) that very securely connects the control unit to the player with a push-clip. The controls (push buttons) are firm yet precisely responsive and allow you to make quick adjustments to insure seamless mixing. The large jog wheel is a bit on the sensitive side... but I've honestly never heard anyone ever complain that their equipment was too darn good at doing EXACTLY what it was physically made to do (i.e., you can give the wheel too big of a nudge when making an adjustment and create yourself an instant train wreck.) These decks are slot loading -- no trays to worry about getting stuck, which makes for a much more dependable unit over time. From what I have read, these (Denon) decks are the only ones in the world that allow you to cue a song from the same CD (next track queuing... and the cross fade is user-adjustable). This deck also reads MP3 disks... a feature usually only available on competitor's highest trim players (Such as the Pioneer CDJ-1000 MKIII which costs HUNDREDS more than this deck and is only a single table top). Sampling and 4 effects are onboard and the firmware/software for the unit can be flashed/updated via CD-ROM. When playing an audio CD, you have 20 seconds of shock protection in case the CD player is jarred or moved (while dancing around in the DJ booth, for example). Shock protection varies with MP3 playback and is dependent upon whether the MP3 track is CBR or VBR. I'm thankfully unable to comment about service levels from the Denon Corporation and it's authorized agents because I haven't had the slightest problem. I purchased mine for 9 plus shipping -- so it's no wonder why I feel they are such an awesome value! (Actually, I would have probably gladly paid more!) If you're considering buying a dual deck CD player look no further! The Denon name is synonymous with tag lines such as "Top Quality" and "Industry Standard" -- The DN-D6000 lives up to those and then some! |

Denon DVD-2930CI Progressive Scan DVD/DVDA/SACD Player with Realta Reon VX-50 HQV Processing Overviews Denon's economic DVD-2930CI DVD player uses Teranex video processing for picture quality similar to more expensive DVD players. Supported media includes DVD, music CD, Super Audio CD, CD-R/RW (MP3 and WMA audio formats, JPEG picture format), video CD, and DVD-R/RW. Related Products
Customer Review Best Customer Review : OK, first off...this unit originally released in January 2006. For non-audiophiles...this is near high-end equipment. That being the case, a lot of effort was placed into its development...there's more to gain here besides only displaying video. What's the hidden secret? Audio. [OK, off my soapbox...to those who complain that its too complicated or doesn't provide ease of use.] I picked this unit up about 2 months ago, and to my surprise it greatly outperformed my Denon 1940CI. I really didn't expect for my old DVDs to look any better. [VIDEO] Star Wars(episodes 4-5(remastered), and 1-3)...the ultimate test, right?! I was more than shocked at how well the REON-VX HQV scaler performed great. I was able to see some detail that I have not seen before. I literally watched all six episodes in 3 days. You will not be dissapointed in the video performance. REON's scaler outshines Faroudja easily. Depending on your TV(LCD/Plasma), and its native video scaling ability...this next piece of advice may or may not do you any good. I have a Samsung LN46A650. Anyway, here goes...out of the box the blacks were not deep black/plasma-like on my LCD. I recommend that you toggle this IRE option, to your liking. IRE toggle directions: 1) select 'Picture Adjust', by default STD will be selected. 2) select one of the memory options that can be saved (M1-M5) 3) next select option 3 4) move the cursor down to select the 3rd option below, which is the IRE setting (by default this is set to 7.5) 5) toggle this setting by moving the cursor on your remote up/down, between '0IRE' and '7.5IRE' *worked wonders for my black level, when set to 'OIRE' [AUDIO] This player has Burr-Brown 24/192 Audio DACs, and AL24 processing which makes for a better than average listening experience. This is, however subjective to your receiver/amp type and speakers. When listening in 2-channel mode, the Burr-Browns make audio CDs sound great. More times than few, I hear some discrete sound from an artist' recording that I never heard before. Simply amazing experience, to hear a new sound from a recording that you have been listening to for 20+ years. While watching a DVD, Denon's AL24 processing does something special to audio over a digital input(HDMI/optical/coaxial). I could not believe the new sounds that I was hearing from the Star Wars movies. For example, a new voice in the background, footsteps from the surrounds. Good stuff. [OTHER FEATURES] DVD-Audio/SACD playback (do not own any, can't pronounce myself an audiophile yet)...but I have heard them on someone else' 2930 player. Awesome sound. I suppose that the Denon Link proprietary output to a Denon receiver sounds great. But, unfortunately you have to purchase a high-end Denon receiver to gain a Denon link input. Not for the moderate spending consumer, such as myself. [ISSUES] I would not be doing my due diligence here, if I did not mention that this player has two issues: 1) The laser has been known to give out, after some time. There are countless sellers on a certain auction site(unnamed) that can sell you a replacement. Basic 'Macguyver' skills are required for replacing this. 2) It will not play EVERY DVD+R/DVD-R media brand. Of the countless number of DVD media that I own...it has played about 98%, with no problem. Only the cheapest of the cheap brands will have issues. Overall, this player is great. I give it 4 stars, due to the two issues above. Performance is a 5 in my book. Paired with a good TV, receiver, and speakers...I am certain that you won't be dissapointed. Customer Review 1 : Avoid this one like the Plague !!! - Marty Gillis - Los Angeles, CA USA Everything about this unit is top notch. everything except ONE THING! Almost all of them suffer from a serious manufacturing defect which is more than likely exacerbated by a serious design flaw! I read the horror stories and choose not to pay any heed, wanting that great Burr Brown sound for my audio and that beyond great picture quality. Well, when it worked all that and more was true. BUT......... the first one I ordered shipped with a faulty laser. It coudn't read ANY discs without glitching terribly, stuttering, freezing and basically having a nervous breakdown. You could HEAR the laser having a major meltdown..... Ok, the company I purchased this one (a reliable Amazon seller, Vann's) was most helpful and immediately shipped me a new, unopened replacement unit. SAME THING, only it lasted about 3 hours, Then it went berserk with dropped audio, freezing and glitches galore. BUMMER! Vann's again accepted my return and I will need to try another model or brand. I bought this unit strictly for the audio and when it worked, it was GLORIOUS. I have read you can replace the laser assembly but it needs to be done on a regular basis and that has GOT to be the result of a serious design flaw in the unit itself. BELIEVE the negative reviews. If you want to buck the odds MAYBE you will get one that works for more than 3 hours out of the box, but it wont last long...... I have learned my lesson, don't let yourself be tempted by the low price. I have a 130 dollar Pioneer that plays all regions, outputs both Pal AND NTSC , does all AVI formats thru a USB jack, SACD and DVD-A and features converters ALMOST as good as this Denon. And guess what, the Pio WORKS! I was greedy and wanted that little bit extra in the audio end and blew off the bad reviews hoping I would get lucky with mine. ARRGHHHH! Customer Review 2 : Denon quality - Jim Lebec - As with all the other Denon products I have purchased, This DVD player was easy to install and plays flawlessly. Additionally, the price offered on Amazon was the lowest I had found on the internet and especially better than those offered on Ebay. |

Customer Review Best Customer Review : Let me tell you, finding a good unit to play your favorite records is not easy. I started my search with a trip to BestBuy. Pretty disappointing considering the fact that they don't carry any moderately or high priced units anymore. I had to choose between Insignia (plays dvd) and Sony CMTBX-20i micro systems. 20 min of tests gave me enough to make up my mind, and I left the store with the Sony. The sound is quite pleasant however I was not getting as much as from previously owned 0 Aiwa. The suitable candidaes for an upgrade were Onkyo 325, Denon m37 and Yamaha MCR-730. I had a chance to test all of them except Yamaha. So here is some thoughts from listening same records with CMTBX-20i, Denon M37 and Onkyo. In my opinion, all of the included speakers are poor compared to what the systems are capable of, so the tests where run using a pair of Sony SS-B1000 speakers. Sony - nice pleasant sound, a bit noisy on the high freq end, a slight touch of bass, very pleasant, relaxing sound. Some mid range is missing, and there is very slight distortion in sound, not enough though to turn your back o this unit. I'd probably choose Sony over Denon when Tchaikovsky's Nutcracker is on for the musicality even if clarity is not there. Onkyo CS-325 - sound is great in the high range, but the absence of low freqs and mid freqs was very disappointing. The high range though is very good, Some songs from Metallica reminded of those days when I has high end receiver. Classical music is smooth but absolutely non-realistic due to lack of mids and lows. The available adjustment for bass can not correct the problem, treble could be adjusted slightly, however +2 and +3 adds also noise, so this settings would not be practical. After listening to it for 4 hrs I packed it. Onkyo goes back to the store. Denon M37 - sound is exceptionally pure. However, mid range is overwhelming. You can't as much polishing with high tsk sound and low booms as from Sony. As a consequence, jazz, disco, heavy metal sounds similar - unlike you expectation that different parts of sound spectra would be accentuated. The highs sound a bit metallic. I have a feeling that the designers simply decided to eliminate "difficult" parts of spectra where they could not meet specs. All the sound which is present is very very clear. Crank up the volume, and the quality of sound does not change a bit! FM Radio, AUX1 line from iPod and CDs play very nice, no noticeable noise. No equalizer is available, otherwise I'd just try to subdue the overpowering mid range, and would give the system 5 star rating. Tremble and bass adjustment does little and also affects the low and high sides of the mids, so not very helpful. Plenty of power, from what others mention, you can crank volume to 45 units. and I never turned it to more than 15. And this is with 8Ohm external speakers, which are not as loud as native 6Ohm speakers. It will certainly fill your room with good sound. One of the reviewers noticed the mechanical noise from Denon when the CD is playing. I can assure you that absolutely same amount comes from the Onkyo system. I didn't noticed any troubling high pitch sound from Denon when SDB boost is on. Overall very consistent unit for what it is. Build quality was was not a key factor in my evaluation, however I would rate 5+ the Denon, 4 Onkyo and 4-4- for Sony. Denon's brushed aluminum front panel looks truly attractive, Onkyo looked a bit toyish with the blue light on the volume control and somewhat too bright display (though I am sure some will like it!), the biggest disadvantage of Sony is the button (+ -) control of the volume. For now, I decided to keep Sony for casual listening at late evenings and integrated iPod dock, and Denon for clear undestorted sound and good looks. I hope some day I will be able to replace them both with s single great sounding unit (Yamaha MCR-730 ???). If this happens, I'll let you know! P.S. My brother visited me recently and was quite impressed by my M37 system. At home he listens to audio system which is worth more than K, so the compliment probably means something. I also tested USB port, the sound is way better compared to Ipod dock connection (I use Kensington docking station). After almost 1 month of tests, I say buy this stereo, it's very well worth the money! Customer Review 1 : Denon D-M37 Superb Performer - Dr. Jerry - Portland, OR Denon has achieved a musically rich mini system with the D-M37. I have been continually impressed with this unit from the inital presentation of a well packaged and protected container through several months of daily enjoyment. It is feature rich, well-made, and most importantly, very pleasing to listen to. In choosing this unit, we were looking for a smaller system that would be unobtrusive in our living room---I have a full Martin Logan home theater upstairs that is reminisent of Stonehenge in a dedicated media center, so my wife wasn't going to allow and of that gigantic foolishness downstairs too. We looked at the Bose Wave Radio and minisystems from Onkyo and Yamaha. Each of these sounded good, but when I heard the Denon I was instantly sold. Excellent harmonics, natural high frequency reproduction, and an ease to the sound. Finding these qualities and mini-system in the same sentence would have been laughable a few years back. Sure, it has some respectable bass definition, but how deep and powerful can a 4 inch driver get? Future friendly---add a quality subwoofer if you choose. I had some fun and upgraded the factory speaker wire to British Chord Odyssey 2 silver plated high end wire and it made a little improvement to the midrange clarity, but it sounded fine as it came. I did notice that the speakers required some time to mechanically break in---they became much fuller and natural after a month's use. For anyone looking for a quality system priced right, end your search now, you've found what you need. Customer Review 2 : Great sound!! - Y. Lin - Orange County, CA I'm not an audiophile so I cannot speak to the technical aspects of this system but my ears tell me everything I need to know. Before purchasing this product, I sampled many systems at a large electronics supplier and I concluded that this is by far one of the best in the price range. I purchased this system for my home office and it fills the room with crisp and clear sound that is an amazing upgrade from the previous system; with this system I hear so many new sounds in the music I have been listening to all along. It really is a great system and I highly recommend it for anybody looking for a quality system that is relatively compact and aesthetically-pleasing. |

Denon DCM280 5-Disc CD Changer Player Features
Denon DCM280 5-Disc CD Changer Player Overviews 5 disc carousel CD/CD-R/RW changer ¿ MP3 Decoder ¿ 18 bit Burr-Brown DACs ¿ Digital servo laser mechanism ¿ Dual direction carousel rotation ¿ Coaxial digital output ¿ Headphone jack ¿ Remote control supplied Denon DCM280 5-Disc CD Changer Player Specifications Custom-built for marathon listening sessions, Denon's DCM-280 CD player offers 5-disc playback and multiple play modes, marrying convenience and quality in an affordable component. The unit handles prerecorded and recordable CDs, including MP3 CDs, which can store around 10 hours of music per disc--listening consecutively, you can go for about two straight days and never hear the same song twice. The carousel changer's play exchange feature lets you swap up to 4 discs while a fifth is playing, and you'll only hear the music, thanks to Denon's quiet changer mechanism. Ensuring top-flight sound regardless of the source, the DCM-280 features a multilevel noise-shaping digital-to-analog converter. Multilevel modulation removes the adverse effects of jitter. And because the feature is built into the player's output amp, the player directly obtains a clean analog output with suppressed high-frequency interference. You can customize a song sequence with 32-track programming, which lets you create a a custom music mix from the remote control. Program any combination of tracks from the 5 discs (not including MP3 CDs). Three-mode random playback includes full random, program random, and disc sequential random modes. The display shows total remaining time on the disc, elapsed track time, and remaining track time. Four-mode repeat play loops 1 track, 1 disc, all 5 discs, or a programmed sequence. Outputs include a set of left/right RCA analog outs (which you'll want to use when listening to MP3 sources) and a coaxial digital-audio output for direct connection to a surround receiver or a minidisc or CD recorder. With intelligent disc scan, the disc skip button can rotate the carousel tray clockwise or counter-clockwise as you search for a disc. (Counter-clockwise rotation is operable only by remote controller.) What's in the Box |

You can't hear as much polishing with high tsk sound and low booms as from Sony. I also enjoy the remote. You can point it any direction and it does the job. There is a numeric pad, so you can choose the track you like, or FM station (you don't have this in Sony stereo, where the presets are selected only with 'next' or 'prev' button). Customer Review 1 : The Good and the Bad - S. Metz - I purchased this product along with the Denon i-Pod docking station. The good part is that I am VERY pleased with the sound quality, the simplicity and the look of this compact but powerful unit. It fits great on my small bookshelf. I saw one review discussing crackling sound but I have not had any such problems with my Denon. I have had the stereo for 2 weeks now. I had originally purchased a Sony shelf system that was a touch too big for the space I had. I returned the Sony and bought the Denon. The Sony was half the price and had the i-Pod docking station in the actual unit which was all nice, but the sound quality and power was nothing close to Denon's. I am glad I was forced to return the Sony. The only thing I don't like about the Denon system is the additional i-pod docking station I purchased. It is cumbersome on the remote to control the ipod. I find it easier to go up to the i-pod and choose my desired song/album directly from the ipod rather than using the remote. Because I primarily listen to my ipod on the Denon this is a bit of a drag. Otherwise I am very satisfied! Customer Review 2 : Great shelf system! - Mr K - Boston,Ma After a lot of research,I decided on this system. After listening to it for awhile,Im more than glad I did.My Onkyo shelf system started to give me some problems after years of good service. What I noticed right away with this system is it sounds great at loud volume and does'nt make you want to turn it down like most cheaper micro systems will.Do yourself a favor and try to listen to this before you spend the money on something less expensive. The extra $ spent will be worth it! |
